Regional Head of Finance and Risk, Munich Re

Inspiration: I have been an ACCA member since 2005 and I was inspired to do ACCA because it is a rigorous and global qualification that is well recognised across the globe.

Career Journey: Over the past 20 years I have held Finance leadership roles in banking and insurance across Europe, Asia and the Middle East. It really excites me to work in a diverse and inclusive place. The ACCA qualification has helped me to pursue an international career. I have lived and worked in 6 different countries. The journey has been rewarding and helped me to grow personally and professionally. I am at a stage of my career where I am trying to give back to people and the community. I am an ACCA Advocate member and also a member of ACCA’s Global Technology Forum.

Proud: ACCA leads the development of the accountancy profession. With its strong focus on ethics, it helps to change society and the business environment and offers opportunities to people. In particular in developing countries.

Advice: To all students I would like to say that the investment in obtaining your ACCA qualification will pay off. Focus also on the development of your soft skills as these are equally important. Embrace continuous learning to improve your skills and knowledge in order to perform effectively and be able to adapt to changes in the workplace.
